The strategy of the Manawatu Defence Hub is to develop and grow business partnerships with Defence and public service agencies to bring economic growth to the Manawatu region.

Recognising, understanding and promoting local capabilities, that match national and international market requirements, the Defence Hub identifies and shares information and resources aimed at securing business development opportunities for local contractors, product and service providers.

Members are kept aware of opportunities to secure service and supply contracts with Defence and other public service, government and non-government agencies.

The Defence Hub offers members' a multi-level forum for dynamic networking, introduction to key contacts and regular interaction with relevant procurement personnel. Quality speakers are engaged to inform and update them on procurement requirements and processes, best business practices and wider issues. Work on special projects - individually and collectively - adds further strength to the collective.
